Forget Stretching: Strengthen Your Hip Flexors Instead
If you're like me, you're sitting behind a screen most of the day. Probably with crappy posture.
Same, and I own a fitness company - oops.
We talk about the shoulders and neck a lot when we sit for a long time but forget about the hips.
You know when you stand up and feel tight AF? Yeah, you can thank your hip flexors for that (basically a group of muscles at the front of your hip).
They help bring your knees to your chest.
You’re prob thinking oh great here come the stretches, but nah that's old news.
Stretching is out and strengthening is in (this is my opinion).
The tightness may be caused by weak hip flexors that can't stabilize.
Let’s hit pause for a second
As I was writing this, something popped into my head. Instead of writing about it, maybe I should just do it and show ya myself at home.
So I did.

Did You Know? Like Really Know…
Your personality could be keeping you from the gym.
1 in 4 Adults don't reach the recommended amount of physical activity.
Ever wonder why your friend is super consistent with her workouts and you only make it 2 days?
What if I told you your personality has something to do with it?
We're all motivated differently.
Some like rewards (me) - I get a new outfit if I finish this program program.
Others like punishment - If I don't get my workout in, I’m not going out tonight.
If you're motivated by rewards, you prob like working out more.
And lean towards intense workouts.
Punishment driven peeps might struggle to like working out and look for higher-intensity workouts because "Pain, I can't get enough."
