Can You Change Your Mindset?

Do you have a fixed or growth mindset?

Imagine you have a fixed mindset...

You believe that your abilities, intelligence, and talents are set in stone and can't really change.

If this is you, you might avoid challenges, give up easily, or get discouraged when something goes wrong.

On the flip side, a growth mindset is believing that you can develop and improve your abilities.

You enjoy challenges, choose to learn from your mistakes, and keep going if something goes wrong.

A growth mindset will push you to succeed and overcome self-doubt.

Feel like you have a fixed mindset?

Here's the thing, mindset isn't set in stone. We can change and develop it over time.

And awareness is the first step.

Here are a few tips to adopt a growth mindset:

  • Be aware: The first step is to recognize where you have a fixed mindset. Pay attention to your thoughts and how you approach challenges.

  • Embrace Challenges: Put yourself in situations where you aren't as good and make an effort to learn from them.

  • Enjoy the process: Stop focusing on the end goal and enjoy the journey to get there.

  • Practice self-compassion: Be kind and accepting towards yourself. Remember, no one is perfect, but everyone can improve with practice.

Remember, it's not going to change overnight. But learn to enjoy the process!

Did You Know? Like Really Know…

Your ankle is one of your body's major weight-bearing structures.

As you take a step and your foot hits the ground, the ankle is what absorbs the shock.

That's why ankle mobility and stability are so important when it comes to balance.

But when was the last time you focused on your ankles? Probably never.

Try these ankle mobility and stability exercises:

  • Dynamic wall stretch: Put your foot up on the wall with your leg straight. Hinge towards the wall, hold for a second, and return. If you don't feel much of a stretch on this one, move your foot up the wall more.

  • Calf Raise+ball squeeze: Use the ball between your ankles to prevent your heels from rolling out and lift your heels off the ground.

  • Calf Raise + towel: Put your toes on the towel to stretch the bottom part of your foot and raise your heels off the floor.
